The Assam Public Service Commission in its meeting held on 17/7/2019 had taken stock of the present flood situation in the state. The Commission is seized of the matter that many candidates belonging to affected areas have been facing the fury of the flood.

The Combined Competitive Examination is conducted for all eligible candidates and it is the aim of the Commission to see that all candidates sit in the examination. But due to the prevailing situation created by the unprecedented flood, there is the likelihood that a section of the candidates would be deprived of the opportunity of sitting in the examination which will render the competition incomplete and not fair.

Under the circumstances and considering all other aspects like availability of venues and examinations conducted by other entities like the UPSC etc., the Commission has decided to presently postpone the ensuing CC (Main) Examination, 2018 slated to be held from 22/7/2019. Examinations to be held from 22/7/2019 to 31/7/2019 are being rescheduled. Examination dates scheduled from 2/8/2019 to 9/8/2019 will remain the same. Detail program will be announced soon.

Candidates will be issued fresh e-Admission certificate.

In continuation of the Press Notice No 244PSC/E-14/2018-19 Dated Guwahati, the 17th July 2019 the following clarification is made:

Educational Qualification:
• Minimum Higher Secondary passed (only Commerce or Science stream) is eligible to apply. Along with that, the candidates should have good Knowledge on Business processes.
• Diploma in Computer& Networks Application.
• Only Male Candidates (Permanent resident in Jorhat District)

Job Role:
• Prepare, compile & sort documents for data entry.
• Collecting & arranging documents, bills, etc.
• Check source documents for accuracy.
• Verify data & correct data where necessary.
• Obtain further information for incomplete documents.
• Combine & rearrange data from source document where required.
• Enter data from source documents into the prescribed computer database, files.
• Store completed documents into designated locations.
• Respond to request for information & access relevant files.
• Daily closing reporting to the management.
• Comply with data integrity & security policies.

The candidate has to maintain good relation with the customer, for which the candidate should have excellent communication skill and have the ability to work under pressure. In addition, the candidate should be capable of replying to customers, email and maintain MIS (Management Information System).
